FISCAL AFFAIRS ANALYST
The Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE) has an immediate opening for a Fiscal Affairs Analyst in its Fiscal Affairs Division. The Board has responsibilities for policy, program, and fiscal analysis for higher education issues in Illinois. The Fiscal Affairs Analyst will be responsible for analyzing fiscal operations, reviewing budgets, and preparing a variety of reports. The position requires strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel. The ability to write effectively and a background in higher education or government policy, program, or budgetary analysis are also required. The preferred candidate will have a master’s degree with at least one year of experience in higher education or government, or a bachelor’s degree with at least three years of experience in higher education or government. Advanced knowledge of or experience in higher education finance and policy evaluation and familiarity with state and national higher education data sources are highly desirable. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a full-time position located in Springfield, Illinois.
